F1 Cars ready to race

F1 Car Rules

Cars – any Formula 1 car from the inception of F1 in 1950. It is expected that the majority of cars being used will be NSR or Scaleauto.

What is specifically allowed? Any commercially available* body and chassis, any running gear, guide, braid. Long can motors up to 25k, S-Can up to 32k. High Mag motors such as BRM are allowed as there is no magnetic effect on the track.

Tyres must be black rubber – no urethane and no silicon.

Wheels no restriction, gears no restriction.

Maximum width of track (outer edge of tyre to outer edge of opposite tyre) is 68mm. (Note – some recent Scaleauto F1 cars have a front track outside this limit. In the interests of fairness to novices these cars will be allowed in their standard format – however, exploiting the rules, by more experienced racers, will be dimly viewed!)

Racing numbers (2 min) and driver must be present as must an interior that conceals the chassis and parts from above. The interior can be lightweight but must include a driver with steering wheel detail and must be painted.
